Color Generator – FAQ

Answers to common questions about RandomHub’s Color Generator module.

  • How do I generate random colors?

Open the Color Generator and press Space or click Generate. Copy HEX/RGB/HSL, add colors to your palette, and export when ready.

  • Can I build and save a color palette?

Yes. Click Add to palette for each color. Your palette persists in your browser (localStorage).

  • Does it support accessibility (WCAG) contrast checks?

Yes. The tool suggests a readable text color and shows AA/AAA indicators for quick accessibility checks.

  • Which export formats are available?

Currently CSS variables and JSON. Roadmap includes PNG swatch strip, ASE/ACO (Adobe), and GPL.

  • Can I create a palette from an image?

Planned feature. You’ll be able to upload an image to extract dominant and accent colors.

  • Will there be AI-based theme palettes?

    Yes—planned. You’ll type a theme (e.g., “calm sunset”), and we’ll generate a matching palette.
